Overview

IBMR Bangalore (IBMR-IAME Business School) offers MBA and MCA programmes with industry-aligned add-ons, and BBA, BCA and B.Com degrees. The Institute of Business Management and Research (IBMR) was founded in 1999 to prepare students to become effective decision-makers in business. The IBMR Group has campuses in Bengaluru, Hubli, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon and Hyderabad.

The group focuses on management, IT and research, with programmes from undergraduate to postgraduate level. Its MBA and MCA are paired with industry-aligned add-on programmes (PGPM and PGPIT) that cover areas such as business analytics, SAP, digital marketing, cloud computing and AI.

The Bengaluru campus is run as IBMR-IAME Business School, with IAME as its academic excellence partner. IBMR lists international alliances with Staffordshire University and the University of Stirling (UK), IAE Bordeaux and IAE Grenoble (France), Singapore Institute of Management and James Cook University.

MBA + PGPM

Course guide: MBA

A two-year, full-time MBA paired with the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM), an industry-aligned add-on covering business analytics, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, SAP and operations.

Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)
Eligibility: Graduation with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/Cat-1)
Entrance exams accepted: MAT, CAT, XAT, ATMA, PGCET, KMAT
Approved intake: 180 seats

MCA + PGPIT

Course guide: MCA

A two-year MCA paired with the Post Graduate Program in Information Technology (PGPIT), with added training in data analytics, cloud computing, cyber security, IoT and AI/ML.

Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)
Eligibility: Graduation with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/Cat-1)
Entrance exams accepted: PGCET and others
Approved intake: 60 seats

BBA

Course guide: BBA Advanced

A three-year undergraduate business degree built around Education 4.0, combining academics with projects, field studies, certification and placement training.

Duration: 3 years (6 semesters, NEP/SEP)
Eligibility: 10+2 with at least 40%: Commerce, Science, Arts or Diploma

B.Com

A three-year commerce degree with value-added certification and industry projects, preparing students for finance, accounting and analytics roles.

Duration: 3 years (6 semesters, NEP/SEP)
Eligibility: 10+2 with at least 40%, any stream

Admission requirements

MBA / MCA: a bachelor's degree with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/Cat-1)
MBA: a valid MAT, CAT, XAT, ATMA, PGCET or KMAT score; MCA: PGCET or another accepted entrance score
BBA / BCA / B.Com: 10+2 with at least 40% (BBA and BCA also accept a Diploma)
Completed application and supporting documents
Fee payment directly to the institution through official channels

Internships and placement preparation

IBMR runs pre-placement training from the first semester and supports paid internships. Graduates have joined companies in finance, consulting, IT, sales and marketing, healthcare, real estate, media and hospitality.
